LOVE the trailer extension! Need to add that to my "list" for when I get my trailer..... Like the tan (and the green), but sure you didn't want at least one yellow?!:)

My wife drives an Infiniti G35 Coupe, yet LOVES driving my TJ around - if nothing more that the looks she gets from everyone!

Congratulations & welcome to the Just Empty Every Pocket club.

A little Holiday work- Added an AEV front Steer Skid plate that I got from a fellow Expo'r used.
Fun work!

Looking good, you have me starting to consider another Jeep, just have to decide if we can live without the 3rd row seating.

As much as I love the AEV kit, which is a bunch- I gotta ask what the steering skid does exactly as I can still see the tie-rod and steering stabilizer? Looks as though you do have the high steer which is also a good item, but the skid really just covers the low hanging front crossmember no? A bit weighty for cosmetics me thinks, but otherwise, very sweet truck Dendy 'ol boy!!

You are correct - it is just the upper steering link coverage- Supposedly helps the aerodynamics of the truck.
We'll see.

On Rubicons it protects the sway bar e-disconnect.

On 2012's, I think it also protects a pump of some kind that Jeep put near the crossmember.

Dale, I accidentally edited this post, ... I'll try to restate what you said best I can remember.

"I am trying to keep the weight off both my truck and myself! :)
I did not add a skid, but did trim the plastic where the skid would go.

Dendy- did you monitor fuel consumption to Columbia and back?

Very well possible. When I removed the stock air dam on my JK, I noticed quite a hit in my fuel mileage. Mileage went back to normal once I put the deflector back on. I think I even posted about it; here is the link
