rino,

i put in a call to you earlier in the week, and haven't yet had the opportunity to return your voicemail...i'm curious if you might have any photos or link to photos of the frontrunner 'bars only' rack you mentioned that you sometimes pair with the alu-cab?

thanks!

You scared me the first time I read that I thought you said I forgot to call you back! :) haha.

Yes, Front Runner and Alu-Cab go together like South African peanut butter and jelly. So on the 5th Gen T4R, you can run just the Front Runner side plates and two F.R. load bars. The Expedition III tent bolts directly to these two cross bars, keeping the tent low to the roof and saving you the weight of the rack platform.

I follow you on Instagram, but I had not seen the setup video until I came across this thread.
Still deciding between the Eezi-awn 270 or the Alucab one for my FJ Cruiser to replace my old Campinglab one.
I had posted a thread earlier about my BajaRack awning brackets being able to support one of these, and after looking at them some more up close, I think they could handle the weight.

Really excited about getting a similar set up on my ride -- I have the Gobi stealth rack.

Can you tell me how well that will work with shadow awning and expedition tent?

Would be curious to hear a review on the Alu-cab now that you've had time to spend with it. Noticed that OK4wd is no longer carrying the tent (at least on the website).

You're correct that we no longer list it on our website, however, we still carry the product and you can still call or email us for more information. The only roof top tents we list on our website (despite selling Front Runner, ARB, Alu-Cab, and more) are those from James Baroud and we even list those way above MAP to push people to other dealers. :)

Like James explained, we prefer customers visit their local dealer for optimal service and support. On top of this current Alu-Cab production is barely enough to meet the growing global demand and typical orders right now on tents are 2-3 containers out so we prefer customers are explained this before placing an order. We have some big changes taking place in a few months that should cut wait times drastically. :)
