Oh yeah! :wings:

Thanks again for the help Nate.

Anyone know if the 99+ single rear axles will bolt into my ambulance? I'm going single wheel after talking to Nate.

No prob, my pleasure.

Note that your amby probably has a dana 70 in the rear and you may want to keep it and just go with spacers.

Good progress, is that seat fitting in the corner at the back of the rig? Opposite the sink?

Yes, the childrens "driving" seats sit to the rear of the sink area, they sit at about a 25* angle, the upper seat backs are about 4" from the back doors. Just opposite the the counter top area will be a long bench seat. I will show pics of the way we will make the bed later on, simple and effective it should make roughly a queen size bed.

No prob, my pleasure.

I wonder how long spacers like that would be? wonder how they'd take the load? It would certainly be much cheaper that way, since I'll need spacers or adapters either way.

Installed the new floor, the rear 5" is missing but no big deal since I plan to install 6" of 1/16" stainless steel across the back.

The painted bench seat frame is going back in tomorrow, with the new seat pads going on in the next few days. I also hope to get some paneling up tomorrow as well.

Great build. Another rear axle choice is the dana70u out of a CJ10 tug, they were also in 1 ton chevy dually box trucks. In the CJ10 they have 4.88 gears and a powerlock and are 75.5" wms to wms.

Me i ask , why you chose a linoleum for the floor ( as cheap or simple to clean , or some other reason ?)

It was $20 for the entire sheet from Lowes and it will be very easy to clean with sweeping and a sponge mop. We want the entire interior to be easy to clean when we get home. We are running a silicone bead along all the cracks and places like where the linolium meet the cabinets so dirt cant collect there.

Not much new stuff to report on today just got everything glued down and smoothed out as well as put the dress pieces on the ends of the countertop where we cut it. The sink and faucet are now installed just need to plumb the water tanks. We put the bench seat frame back in also, its coming along good, should be ready for exterior paint in a few weeks.

Thank you , Paramedics complain as very slippery (usually) ...

Winter , trail , hard properly clean boots ctr..( Pergo floor Track system cost more money , only more safety and the same easy to clean)

We had considered an interlocking floor shop floor system from lowes but it looked like a pain to install so we skipped it. We are planning to install some heavy duty velcro strips on the floor so we can add a rug or 2 and not worry about them slipping around then they are easily removed for cleaning.

My truck camper has linoleum floors. I buy left over carpet from the carpet shops to cover the floor. Once they are beyond looking at, I just trash them and buy some new junk. That way I don't worry much about tracking mud or dirt inside, and I don't spend much money. And that linoleum is super easy to keep clean.

Chris helped me out with some spacers for mine, made from a single steel billet. No concerns about load capacity given over-designed nature of them, wall thicknesses through the roof, probably weighed ~35lbs each.. They were 3" each side, and also adapted the bolt pattern to match the front axle.

I've had a few people tell me converting to a single rear wheel will make this thing very unstable, whats your take on this natery? Did you drive yours on the street much? I'm mainly worried about it being top heavy. Anyone else care to comment? I've seen 3 ambulance conversions so far and all are dual rear wheels.
