It needed replacing anyway. Better to have it die on me while parked in my front yard versus some remote area in Guatemala. Point well received, Eric!

Sorry that you had to have it taken in that way. It is interesting to me though that you guys in Guatamala have a ramp truck as a tower, and here in Chile, those are super hard to come across. Most towers are just old hilux's that have a typical, tire locking, crane hoist on the back.

I saw a really cool 2000 model Patrol sitting on 35-37" the other day, here in Southern Chile. I wanted to get a photo, but I was on the interstate and by the time I saw it, it was to late to get the photo. If I see it again, I'll try and get a photo.

Thanks for thinking of us Patrol owners, Eric! And, yea, I was surprised to see such a nice truck show up. Aside from having them fix my clutch, I'm also having the 4x4 looked at and see if they can source a replacement tail light for the one that's busted.

I saw you posted on your build so will check it out when I get home tonight.

This post is unrelated to my Patrol build; however, I thought it was worth sharing. Zim and I hit the trails around my house today. Some of the views you just can't beat for a morning run.

Alright, so prepare yourself to get excited with me. My KC Hilite LED 7" Replacement headlights and Baja Design Squadron Pro LEDs arrive on Wednesday. Lights should be installed by Friday. Hopefully that's also when she comes out of the shop with her new clutch. replacement tail light, and muffler. Will be using the Baja Design LEDs as A-Pillar lights.

Stopped by the garage today on my way home from a field visit to check on the Patrol. The new muffler and clutch were already installed but waiting on the auxiliary pump to complete the latter. I'm glad I had the muffler replaced because it was shot. The muffler rusted out with holes which explains all the smoke that was coming out from under the driver seat. The only two things missing are the rear tail light and LED lights, which arrive Wednesday. Pics from my field visit included.

First off, Really nice photos! Do you mind if I ask exactly what kind of work you do there? You may have mentioned it. If you did, I just missed it.

On the Patrol side. I'm glad to hear things are moving along. Sounds like your exhaust had the same symptoms as my Trooper when I bought it. Keep up the good work. Looking forward to seeing this thing go, is some vides soon too. I really liked the river crossing.
