My new FJ80

The ladder is custom fabbed. I love it. If i didn't have it.. i'd be screwed loading up all my gear up top. We went camping last weekend and i was up and down it probably 30 times. Held up well.

I have a hell of a time getting up a down from my roof basket and want to do something similar. How does your ladder release for opening the rear gate?

It flips up and locks with a pin out of the way. I'll shoot a pic for ya..

As an alternative, you might want to consider the OEM 80 ladder... though never available in the U.S. from Toyota, they do turn up once in a while. Doesn't interfere with the lower gate, nor lifting the upper.
