My new FJ80

El Gringo Spectacular!
850/863 was my build...worked great without lifting it to the sky.

With the 3FE I would not go with larger tires than the 31s if you expect to go the speed limit on the highway....

That is a very sweet looking LC great color, would that be an INTI rack?

Nice truck! Just out of curiosity, do you carry those fuel cans full up there?

Thanks.

Yeah , on long hauls i do. Around town they're empty.

I won't be taking them down at all.

Filling them up on top and siphoning them to fuel the crusier when i need them.

After a few weeks of ownership, yesterday I installed new suspension on the FJ80. I decided upon the OME 850/863 spring combo. If needed later, I can always upgrade to springs to a heavier set. Here are the new photos - all stock, including 31 inch tires, except for the springs and shocks.

Sharp! What are your impressions of it so far? The 863's ride a bit stiff when unloaded I find with my truck.

Coming from a Jeep YJ Wrangler and compared to the stock FJ80 spring and shocks, and the fact that the springs haven't settled in yet, I think the ride is very good.

Then again, I prefer a firmer ride rather than soft.

You should ride in my runner:eek: . Cruiser is looking good. You planning on bumpers? Might have to upgrade springs if you do.....

Good looking cruiser you got there. How do you like the ladder set up?? Is that part of the Kaymar(?) set up??

Sorry for the hijack.......

I hope to add an ARB front bumper in the very near future. The rear will have to wait - other accessories are a higher priority.

Luckily the springs themselves are not that expensive. If I later need to upgrade, I could probably recoup some of my original expense by selling them as slightly used.
