My new FWC Hawk!

Finally - after searching for 8 months or so I found a nice used Hawk within a reasonable distance from me. :wings:

Drove 16 hrs round trip to pick it up. It's a 2007 model, loaded with most of the options. Fits my truck perfectly! The original owners are very nice people and they bought it new and took really good care of it. They were sad to see it go but now they can buy a larger trailer that suits their needs.

My family is super excited, especially my two young boys! I'm so glad - I'm trying to get them outdoors and off the video games. First trip will be to NW Arkansas in the Ozark Mtns. Now time to build up my truck - new suspension, tires, custom rear swing-away bumper, etc. Looking forward to many new adventures!! :smiley_drive:

looks great, what is the shiny stuff down at the bottom?
my only issue with the truck bed camper on full size truck is height, it is hard to get in and out.

Great purchase. Much to my surprise getting the kids out in the wild works. They adapt quickly to the lack of electronic toys.

Is your truck gas or Diesel? Sorry I am not familiar withe the engine sizes. I am specifically interested to know on a set up like yours with the Gas Motor ... if your is gas please post with your MPG. Thanks! Great lookin rig BTW

I have the same Hawk (Only a 2012 version) on a 2012 Ram 2500 with the Hemi gas engine. "Conservatively" driven I've seen highway mileage nudge up to 15 mpg. Once you get down to low speed hill climbing you will be at 9-10 mpg.
