disc brakes have some advantages, like not minding a bent rim, there is that whole bling thing with them for many riders, but they dont hurt anything so why not have'em.

hydro is very easy to work on, rarely needs maint but since its a closed system, meaning no res. changing oil and bleeding is all in one motion and takes me literally 7-8 mins do do. the secret is you push new oil up from the calipers with a syringe. as for adjusting, again real easy, dont remember the juicy but with hayes its just a turn of an allen wrench to adjust pad height from the rotor. dont need to worry about setting toe like on rim brakes.
