My new (to me) M416 Trailer...

I picked her up last night and can't wait to start working on her. 1966 M416, with no rust through, only several small (bolt sized) holes where "stuff" had been mounted to the bed and sides (I will be body soldering these closed). Arranged to have her sandblasted and primed, as I am still deciding on what finish to use.

Just out of curiosity, what quote did you get to sandblast and prime? And it wouldn't happen to be in Tampa Bay area, would it? I still have the m416 I bought last year waiting to be painted and need to get going on the build finally.

$225 for complete sandblast and prime in Fort Pierce.

The guy doing it owns a small finish and sandblasting business and used to paint jets in the military.

For now, I want to seal the small holes, get her painted to match my Jeep, put a cover on and go camping before any serious mods.

In the future, maybe a solid lid, spare tire carrier, water tank, batteries, ROLLNLOCK, etc.

My plans are to have it sandblasted and painted, have a top made and mount a RTT on it.

Jeep-50, Do you know the depth of the tub, I have a Edgestar freezer/fridge that's 21" high just wondering if it will fit.
