Wow, you were NOT kidding when you said that you had vehicular A.D.D.

Nice rigs all...including the Volvo.

And now, the final chapter to-date. I just had to buy this 2000 Dodge 2500 Quadcab. It has a freshly rebuilt trans with shift kit, fresh Dana 60s front and rear, Revtek kit, new shocks, new 285 75 16 BFG ATs and airbags in the rear. Perfect for a daily driver/work truck. I live in a very tight community on the ocean now, and don't want to piss everyone off driving up the long hill off the beach on my way to work at 6 am with a straight piped 12valve. The new truck was a steal, and although it has the "wrong" 5.9 in it right now, I plan to try and put a 12 valve and NV 4500 in it at some point in the future. All I have done to it so far is add the PIAA fogs that I kept from the Hilux waaaay back up the list of trucks...

For those of you who care, I did MAKE money on most of the vehicles bought and sold in this thread. The one glaring exception being the Rubicon... Bought it about 3 months before Chrysler started their "Employee Pricing" program. I don't care to think about how much that little marketing ploy cost me.

Overall, a fun bunch of rigs. I wish I had the cash to have kept them all. What's next? Who knows... but I bet it will be something cool too! :smiley_drive:

Very nice.. Fear not brother, you are not the only one with vehicular ADD.. I have probably owned 10-12 rigs since I turned 16, which was only 14 years ago... I still have 4 of them too!

Yep, I fall into that category as well....

Ditto. I've had 16 vehicles in 16 years. Longest I ever owned any one vehicle was 4 years. Planning on keeping the burban for a long time. Even if I add another vehicle, I won't sell it. But I've said that before. I just like always having a project going. Keeps me out of trouble. :sombrero:

Nice to know I'm not alone... The wife has gone from thinking I am weird (truck-wise), to seeing $$$$s from buying and selling the right rig. :sombrero:

Cool trucks, Don't get a complex because of your vehicular A.D.D. I had over 30 autos by the time I was 20. My dad would threaten to kick me out of the house when I was 18 if brought home another car, so then I would hide them in woods at the back of the property. Like you I made money on most of them. I could never pass up a good deal. Fast forward today I am 37 years old and over 100 cars later I currently own the following
81 jeep cj Had since I was 16 injected twin turbo 401 glass body 40 inch tires etc etc
1972 bronco built 351 injected aod lockers 4 linked front and rear exo etc etc
1972 bronco street truck 6 inches lift 302 4barrel etc etc
1968 caddy rag top waiting for my northstar motor to go into it
1998 exploder lifted prerunner fenders 5.0 32 inch tires
of course the 2000 e350 EB van on 37s with a 7.3 turned up lifted custom pop top etc etc
daily drive 91 subaru wagon
project astro van more for work than anything.
Two Ktms a 520 and 620
honda 250 reflex (girlfriends)
ford edge (girlfriends)
Caterpillar 12 road grader for the snowy days
And don't even ask about boats!!
So don't fret over moving a few cars through your hands in the name of fun. I have never been in the business of buying or selling cars I just find a crazy love for them.

I've honestly never been too worried about it! Just thought 10 trucks and a Volvo in 5 years might be more than most...:sombrero: I have also posted in most of the brand specific forums here and thought I should prove the claims!

I am 42 and have owned about 45 rigs in my 26 years of legal driving. Many the K5, K20, Bronco, F150, 250, 350, Landcruiser and Toyota pick up came long before the days of the digi-cam.:smiley_drive: And, as stated above, lets not bring Hondas, Kawasakis, Suzukis, Yamahas, Gas Gas, Betas, Ducatis and Harleys into it:bike_rider:

Hope some of my pride and joys bring memories or inspiration to some!

I'm on the other end of the spectrum when it comes to vehicles. I drove my mom's 1987 Mercury Sable for a few months before I bought my 1992 Nissan Maxima, which I had from 1998 to 2008. I bought my 2003 F150 in 2007 and have no intentions of getting rid of it anytime soon.

I get it from my Dad, who has only had 4 vehicles his entire life:
-1975 El Camino (1975-1981)
-1976 C10 (1981-1989)
-1987 F150 (1989-2006)
-2006 F150 (2006-current)

Oh, and the Volvo is pretty sweet!

Yeah, the TJ was sweet. Not too over the top. Simple reliable fun. And the Volvo surprised more than a couple of fancy sports cars:sombrero: I am BC born and raised. As soon as I get a little wealthier I would love to move somewhere with more palm trees... There are a few in Victoria area, where I live now, but it just ain't the same:suning:

Wow... I can't imagine the money you earn to be able to do this... I've had these.

'79 Datsun Hatchback
'83 Ford Escort Station Wagon
'85 Dodge Charger
'91 Mazda Protegé
'93 Toyota Corolla

And now the 2003 Honda CR-V and the '77 Scout II (which I'm still waiting on since March 2009 and have never driven). The only vehicles that were bought new were the Charger and the Protegé. This spans almost 30 years of driving.

Thanks again to ISTZEPHYR and 02TahoeMD for the p-bucket info!

Your welcome. I am a bit of a photo ninja so why not help out.

I'm the opposite of the vehicular add, mine are pretty thought out and then systematicaly destroyed.

I had a
91 Mitsubishi Eclipse at 16, beat it for 3 years then it got wrecked and stripped for parts for the
90 Eagle Talon Tsi AWD I owned after that for 4 years and slowly became a full on rally car until I lost interest in it when I got a
2004 Suzuki Sv650 sold the car and was given my dad's
1985 Chevy blazer he owned since new, it was cheap enough that I got a
1985 Honda XR600R as well. I kept it for a year and sold it after trading my sv650 for a
2000 Honda XR650R
My Blazer died, the engine smoked, trans no longer shifted at all, and the transfer case had a hole in it, I wanted to fix it, but I didn't have the space so I traded it for a rifle and bought a
1991 Dodge W250 with a cummins

All of them were hot rodded and most of them were raced on track(even the blazer, the sportbike wasn't ever raced ironically enough). The Suzuki and the Talon were in good shape when I sold them, the rest left me in pieces or on a trailer. I really liked my dad's blazer and I wouldn't let it go until long after it was dead. I plan to keep the dodge for a while as well.
