Need some information F550

Hallo my name is Tom, iam from germany and i want build a expedition truck, about be

And the sandwich-box i order in germany from www.Ormocar.de

Now my question,: i want the box 13-14feet long, which is the correct wheelbase for this size, need 201 inch wheelbase????

Tom,

You have a lot of options with the F550 chassis cab (wheelbase and cab style). The link below has all of the relevant dimensions and options for Ford chassis cab trucks.

Given your estimated box length you will probably need to use the 201" wheelbase. Your box manufacturer should be able to tell you what will be required for a given box configuration.

Tom, the only possible reason I can think of for using an F550 instead of a 13 or 18 ton Atego is the ability to easily disable DPF/urea injection systems for travel in 3rd world countries on high sulfur fuel and using high TBN oils. Otherwise I thoroughly second Joaquin's thoughts.
