I have been trying to find out what I have to get to upgrade my rear suspension . I have an 01 suburban k1500. She's sagging in the rear when loaded with gear and family. I wanted to replace the stock coils with something a Lil stiffer. I do all my work myself or at my brothers shop. If possible provide purchase info .

If your truck is not a Z71 you could also put Z71 springs there. That's what I did. Super easy.

Probably should consider replacing the shocks while you're in there, though.

seconding a fresh set of springs, even stock ones, given yours are 18yrs-tired. Or Z71. Or H2. All are pretty affordable. Second link in my sig has a lot of discussion about the issue and upgrades.

Pair of Moog HD rear coils is $52, Delco Pro HD pair is only $61. Either of those and a couple hours in the driveway would make a big improvment.

And don't forget a fresh pair of coil seats.

Fresh set of springs! Get the Moog HD's for a H2. Should help you a bit. If not, I love my in-coil air bags in the rear. Helps keep adjustability and it feels great off road! (And they are <$200 bucks all said and done)

How big's your family? How much gear? Any idea what it weighs? It's entirely possible you've maxed or or when over the payload on your Sub. The 1500 series don't have that much. If you have a quarry, landfill, feedmill, or truckstop around you could weigh it loaded and ready to go.

Our 2010 Z71 Burb still sags a bit with a big load. I like the idea of the air bags if carrying a larger than normal load. Of note on the Z71s: the OEM Rancho shocks are not great. Regrettably, I let the dealership replace them with the OEM units. If I were to do it over again I’d go with Bilstein or Fox if available. The Ranchos have a short life to them IMO.

Aside from being able to compensate for different sized loads you can use airbags to lift the vehicle a bit to clear obstacles that otherwise may hang you up
