my advice is to stay away from jk-forum. Check out jkowners or jeepforum.com. Jk-forum is ran by some *** who will ban you for no reason, will not let you talk about products that are not sponsors, and will not let you link to other sites such as this one. Oh hi there , long time lurker first time poster over here. I have a 2010 unlimited rubi as well.

JK-Forum is a for profit BUSINESS, not an open forum, it limits the product discussions to products who sponsor the site or haven't offended the administrator.

There are other JK/Jeep sites in which people are free to rant or rave about ALL products and companies.

Otherwise like others have stated, take out the Rubi and let it show you what it can do. For upgrades, start with safety equipment first (tow straps, first aid, CB/GMRS radio, Hi-Lift Jack, extra emergency blanket, Tp,snacks...the Smilltybilt tailgate GEAR bags work great for storing a lot of those) and then see how you'll be using it. With the Unlimited JK I would highly recommend at least a mild lift to help overcome the long wheel base. Getting high centered on the only rock on the trail is no fun!!

Yea like Jmbo said, but mine is the "newer style". Most people like Jimbo's MBPR rack's look better, being the older, rounded style. Mine is kinda squared off because they started makeing an extension that makes it a full front to back rack and the front end is squared. So they match. Its a great rack though and now they say it will hold up to 1000lbs.

This for me has been probably the best forum because all the users here are interested in the same type of off-road driving and activities and they are also interested in maintaining and improving reliability and durability.

I get ideas at other sites then check them out here to see how these ideas or products have measured up to use by people that do the type of off-road driving I do.

I'm not into turning the jeep into a sub... but I don't want to hydro lock either

I DO LOVE riding trails, camping and seeing sights not easily accessible by foot, or bike due to my weekends only being 2 days.

By the list you have made of your rainy day mods....I would say you now have a very capable 4x4 for all your trail time with the family.

Some cheap or free mods:
Front stubby Bumper chop
Leveling kit by TFlex. (you would be surprised at how much better the JK Un looks after a $100)

I seem to never air down any more, but if you are looking at getting an air system I highly recommend a Viair. We use it for the tires and queen size air mattress when camping

Just mastering the rear cargo storage is a fun way to by time and make a nice set up. Figure your needs and go shopping with the wife at all those tupperware stores.

I second this. I carry the same pump and have used it several times. Just this weekend I ran into a guy in the Nat'l Forrest that had a flat and then his spare went flat later in the day. I aired him up, found the leak, patched it, aired him up again, and they were able to get into town for a proper fix. An air pump and tire repair kit can make a flat tire a minor inconvenience rather than a major problem.

I'm in a TJ so I'm really limited on space, but this goes with me when I'm on the back roads.
