Ooooo I love those wheels, I wonder if they're the same bolt pattern as the f150? I might have to pick up a set. Always liked the steel "nato" style wheels.Got mine last week! We just did a small 1" lift up front, blasted & coated the stock steel wheels and mounted up some 35/12.50/17 Toyo RTs. Tiny bit of rubbing on the sway bar, other than that all good! Taking it off road this weekend. It's the Black Diamond 2.7.
Edit: whomp, whomp, looks like bronco wheels are 6x5.5 like the ranger.

Had an opportunity to drive the wild track with the saqvaa...... sazkqui...... ehhh.... big furry elusive creature edition to its new home in Moab.
Did about 100miles of freeway and then bad road full of pot holes and I must say that I am impressed how well the box drove.
Very stable at 80mph..... can steer with one finger if you choose. Excellent articulation of the suspension at high speed.
16.4mpg on 35's I suppose is not bad. Plenty of power from the 2.7.
This one had the hard top and it was very quiet.
More so than the brand new Rubicon I was in not too long ago. Very good suspension and wheel control each time we hit a pot hole.
I'm 6'2" and I had plenty of room. The seats were comfy as well.
Wel see what I get to try tomorrow.....

Day two I had the Badlands with a soft top as compared to the wildtrack yesterday.
Yesterday we were 3 of the 5 on 35's and all three reported 16.4mpg over the about 100 miles distance.
Today same run the observations are:
Fuel mileage 21.9 mpg which is a huge difference.
The major difference is 33 inch tires and soft top as compared to 35 and hard top.
The noise level is very acceptable at 80mph and I would consider it better than expected for a convertible.
The badlands had the same 2.7 ecoboost but it was noticeably peppier in acceleration which I would contribute to the 33's as compared to the 35's.
There were a bit more vibrations in the A, and B pillars but that could perhaps be due to the less rigid soft top. Dunno.
We will see what tomorrow brings.

The 2.7 Ecoboost is very sensitive to tire size. Since it can spool the turbos almost instantly, any increase in load causes it to react with more power.

Badlands comes standard with 4.70 gears with the automatic and rolls on 33's. Sasquatch comes also comes with 4.70's but 35's.
So there would be a slight difference to be felt for the engine in addition to a wider and heavier tire/rim, they didn't counter the bigger tires with a different gear ratio.
Its all kind of hokey though to a point. Nothing has gearing like this in the Ford lineup so I don't know how they are not running out of gear, overdrives are all similar so the 10spd really can't save the day by throwing super high overdrive ratios at it.
A F-150 on 33's, you better get the deep 3.73's if you plan on towing. Our Black Diamond on 32's (with a dismal tow rating)... we will give you 4.46 just to be safe.
My dad's '05 F-150 with a 2v 4.6 (almost 100hp less than our 2.3) has the same size of tire as our BD but with 3.55's.

That would be my choice also of all the ones I have driven...... Add the hardtop for noise control as they are surprisingly quiet. That is a very nice handling ride.
