???

Saying that lift rods fit from one car to another (which is just a plastic rod end) is a bit extreme as calling them the same... no?
I don’t mean the vehicles are exactly the same I’m saying they probably use the same lift rods as they use the same basic suspension system. If they use the same rods it was a easy first mod using parts Lucky 8 already had on hand.

Bowler also have a Defender and are already working on it, but haven't said anything about what they're planning/doing

:( The first mod isn't an upgrade :(

Lift rods can have their place but I know in 99.9% of cases folks are just gonna run around topped out.
It was likely the quickest and easiest mod they could make. While yes, the D7x is different than the D7U the Disco is based on, they may be identical from a lift rod perspective.

I personally don't find lift rods desirable but what's encouraging to me is that a significant US aftermarket supplier now has their own, and they are now working on it. They imply in their post that Land Rover NA helped them get theirs quickly, perhaps jumping the line on orders a bit.

Ah ok. Yeah your post sounded a lot like the hate thread ;) You're correct, it's just a rod end so it's not unlikely that it would swap over fine. It's also a wildly easy part to produce.

Move along... :)

Virtually the same? It shares no components, dimensions, driveline....

"The new wrangler is virtually same as the old one. It still has solid axles just a nicer screen"

Doesn't that statement seem ridiculous? lol

I wonder if US spec will have steel suspension arms? I don’t see these being very popular with US over lander types between the weight you see packed into Jeeps and the rocky stuff we typically see the off highway guys doing.

What beef do you have with aluminum control arms?

The payload on the Defender is far higher than that of the Wranglers. What off-highway rocky are we talking about? Do you typically drag your control arms? I never have...

They actually do share transfer cases. But that’s pretty much it IIRC.
