New guy and his Scout

Walkers

Hi, I am Walker, and this is my 1964 Scout 800. It has been in the family since ‘67, and I have owned it for the last 20 years.

I typically don’t overland as many of you do, because I own my own destination camp. I have acreage in the Bradshaw Mountains near Crown King Az. Typically we go up for weekends from June through November, where I set up a wall tent. I keep job boxes for bedding, and kitchen supplies, so my load up usually consists of a change of clothes and food. I often day trip from there, though usually back for dinner.

I've owned many scouts and love them but also hate them. Currently have a 1970 800 SR2, before that had a 78 and 74 SII and my family has owned many, many IH vehicles.

Nice IH and welcome to the forum!

I always wanted a Scout, despite the 50-60 cars I've owned, never had one in the garage.

Welcome!

Freaking gorgeous! An sd33 diesel scout is the one vehicle that I wish I had bought but passed on. It probably would have been dust by now out here on the east coast, hahaha. Looking forward to more!
