OK so they are coming out finally
the swivel could be cool for being at a table eating and 2 inches taller than the original
the camp is 5 inches taller or so than the original seat height

Right on. That's one (or four) camping purchases I want to make this year, is good, light, compact chairs. We either use bulky cheap lawn chairs, or logs/stumps. It can add up for a family of four, however.

yeah family of four and have four helinox but worth it :) even if I buy two more and keep the other two around for camp friends or foot rest

our thing was also downsize down weight were 4 chairs at say 10-14 lbs and the size for one where all four could fit in less space and weight

I see you've done quite a few reviews. What can you recomend in a more upright chair? I'm not a fan of chairs that encourage slouching.

I imagine they are made over seas ? its a Australian company ? but the expense is not so bad for good quality ?

LilPoppa not sure what to recommend I agree on the slouching I am going to get the sunset for sure as my regulars I have done my own headrest mod and its so nice to have head support :) also might try the camp model since it will be a touch wider and taller might be more wiggle room comfy :)

to me the slouch often comes from the kinda chairs that do not have good bottom support so that sunset with its support might be the one to look at ?

before I downsized to small light gear I used regular chairs :) still have some
one of these

I think some other here also have it in the long camp chair thread somewhere on here :) but its really nice cause you sit upright and the leg support does not pinch in under you the only downside if your kids jump around in chairs and lean back hard they can fall backwards so the lean back ability seems a touch tippy for kids but not adults since we have enough leg weight to balance but my kid took a gnarly tumble in it

the other chair I have of theres is my most comfy full size
http://www.alpsmountaineering.com/alps/products/furniture/chairs/leisure-chair
reason if I do slide down a tiny bit I can rest my head a bit :) but also I can sit in it nicely since my shoulders are full supported while my head is not its a bit more comfy that way and my legs are supported

I am going to mod two of mine to taller legs for sure and keep the other two the height they are and for sure be buying the sunset the moment I can so for sure will do a quick review on it
kinda bummed they did not do something about the feet of the chair ? time to drill more golf balls or something :)

again no affiliation or anything just love the stuff :)

the new camp and sunset models will be the tallest

The height of the Camp chair is apparently 18". I'm guessing that's at the front of the chair and the actual bottom of the seat is several inches lower? No height given for the Sunset chair at the Helinox website.

Neither chair has anything solid to push against when getting up. Anyone else find this a problem?

saw somewhere cant find it now that had the sunset at the same height ? but who knows for sure at this point but does look to be the same as the camp chair ?

even with the Chair One I dont really have any issue standing up I am 52 bad knee and could loose a few lbs :) ahhaahhahaha
I kinda use the fabric sides on the lower part if I want a bit to push off the fabric is under some tension so you can push off it some quite easy to get your weight forward of your center point in the chairs :)

I for sure will be posting when I get the sunset chairs in what I think etc.....

my buddy is about that tall and sits in my other ones OK
sure I can grab a pic of him sitting in one for you :)

Please post a pic of you sitting in it. I like the idea but at 6'2" maybe not so much.

OK arrived today

LOVE IT the helinox regular was great this thing is a solid upgrade IMHO
while a touch bigger and a touch heavier still tiny compared to any normal camp chair

my head can rest which I was curious about with the height so I am stoked about that without having to do my pole mod :) the early pics show a blue pillow ? maybe accessory later on but I used a small hammock pillow and worked great so maybe make one that has velcro back

some quick things you notice the size of the legs is HUGE compared to the original but it makes it way more stable feeling not that the other one was not stable but had some flex when moving around this one does not have that much at all
the sit height is much taller and for me a bit more comfy for sitting eating etc... for kicking back lounge style both are OK
my wife did notice for her kicking her legs out (about 5,7") that the new sunset was noticed more on the bottom part of her legs but the headrest and feel was nicer but my head rest mod I posted elsewhere made the two about the same comfort factor in the end

the seat is a bit wider but the shoulder area cuts up to the top so in some ways the shoulder area is a touch narrower ? not a discomfort but interesting to note
also the top now has a bar inside to keep the top from coming together as much while not a issue it does make it a bit less feeling like its hugging you that some noticed in the original style and for sure is needed with the taller back design

will do better pics and review in a while
I think the regular one with my backrests pole mod is just as comfy for lounging kick back style but the new one will be better eating height for me and is easier to get up out of for sure with the additional height and I like the wider width on the front
most likely going to be buying one more for the wife soon :) the kids will keep using our current ones and wifes and I will be kept for guest seating etc...

expensive ? well yes and no IMHO a great piece of gear that if one is trying to cut back on size and weight is well worth buying

will try to get some people in the chair soon :)

some quick bad iphone shots :)

showing the height from this angle
helinox-sunset_0.jpg

another angle straight on shows the front width a bit better and the taper of the back design also the height and of course in all these you can notice the diameter of the leg struts etc..
helinox-sunset_1.jpg

again seat height is easy to see and how tall the back is
