new helinox chairs :)

I stopped by an REI yesterday (which its been years since I've been in one) to try out the basic Helinox chair. I like that it swiveled around and at 185 lbs. I fit fine in it. I think it would be comfortable for a half hour, but I'm not sure about two hours in front of a camp fire due to no head rest and possibly pinching under the arms as someone else mentioned? It would be nice to take along on a hike or bike ride. REI did not have the Sunset model in stock.

I have larger chairs that with even foot rests that I love, but two chairs require a large bag and they have to ride outside my trailer due to the space they take up. And the search goes on for the perfect chair...

I recently tried the Helinox Camp chair and found it more comfortable than the Sunset because it's wider through the back area.

interesting I thought they were the same just the sunset is higher my kids want sunsets now is the problem hahahaha

I recently purchased this chair and love how compact and well constructed it is. In hindsight, I would get the version without the mesh parts b/c I feel like that version would last longer.

Honu, you have the Camp Chair and the Sunset Chair both, right? Question for you: Is the depth front to back the same in both chairs? I'm tempted to get a Camp Chair but when I tried it in a store it felt like it didn't extend far enough out to the knees. Any input on that?

looking at the specs I think the depth is including the back rest depth and not seat depth ?

I sewed a patch of hook material to the sunset chair bag so I could use the bag as a pillow by stuffing t-shirts or towels in the bag.
