Here is some info on the new JKS Switchblade. It looks quite nice. Only time will tell how it performs. I have not heard anything about price yet.

Mr. Slade, are these the pictures you took?

That is an interesting concept.

I think it will work well on the low and high positions, but the mid position will cause some weird deflection perhaps.

Agreed. As with any multiple rate swaybar, I would probably only use it on its lowest and highest settings anyways.

I am wondering what the price tag will be?

Hey yeah, those *are* my pictures! Cool! I didn't know they went live with it yet.

Someone should buy one and see how it works. :victory:

I wouldn't worry about it too much. This type of arrangement has been used in race cars for eons. Edit: I think traditionally the bar is more constrained at both ends in a car application.

Like someone else suggested, between max and min there probably isn't much use for another setting unless you are JeepSpeed'ing. I could see tuning a rear anti-roll bar setting maybe. For the front it's probably extreme to extreme.

Be interesting to see how much it sells for.

Interesting setup. I am hoping they make them for the XJ's and they are not too pricy. I know I hate having to disconnect/connect the swaybar ends but outside of electric disconnects (which would be cool for an XJ) this would not be a bad subsitute.

All my JKS stuff has performed excellent, I like the idea....
I agree most people will go firm or soft, but setting the sides different would give even more fine tuning..

Race cars that use this type of adjustment do constrain the tip of the blade to movement in one plane only. If lateral movement is possible it does have only two rates, full stiff and full soft. I recall Carroll Smith not being all that fond of the design.

It's kind of too bad they didn't use the complete design, then it could be in-cab adjusted/disconnected. A Morse cable on the lever and off we go.....
