New luxury Roof Top Camper soon on the market.

Part time fulltimer
Need more pictures - the first Roof Top Camper, but I can't see how it all fits together

- it's pretty small, so I assume is a wet bath. How many gallons of fresh/gray?

Composting or cassette toilet?

Is the cooktop diesel too? Is there an oven/microwave?

And how many L is the fridge/freezer? /s

I love it, I don't think we are the market though. It is wonderful food for thought. Would you feel safer in a tent like this? Forget about the laws of physics, costs and all those pesky things.

This is another one of those new “pop up“ tents on the market.

AKA, the “Car Condom.”
Popular for its quick erection time.
Now comes in a variety of colors.
This one’s called, “Viagra Blue.”

(also available in Levitra Yellow, and Cialis Tan)

Typical vapor idea that is seeking crowd funding for R&D and cover manufacturing cost. Huge risk to take for something that may or may not become an actual product.

Seriously. They posted a picture of their workspace or shop the other day on their IG. It was empty. They're running a business off hopes, dreams and investor money right now. Before I drop a 2-grand deposit (which would buy me a roof top tent today) I would want to see a fully functional shop with machining, tooling along with prototypes or production models. For now giving them a dime would be too much for what they have put out, a few nice renderings and a backstory is all they're selling right now. By comparison I can reserve a spot for a Tesla Cybertruck for only $100 and it's fully refundable from a real company...

Also is it me or is Expedition Portal posting a lot of vaporware on their front page recently? I get it in the forums but on the front page? Seems like all their good editors have moved on and the actual content has gone down hill with it. Thankfully we still have the forum.

I have a feeling that if you have $25k to blow on a hipster tent then you probably don't care about the risk.

Unfortunately Chris Cordes has moved to a new opportunity. He had been with us for a very long time and knew the industry very well.

Luckily for us we have a few new writers joining us. They are getting up to speed and coming up with fresh ideas - some may be better and some not as good, but content should remain excellent.

Hmmm, I had to look up what vaporware meant.
“An advertised product, often computer software, whose launch has not happened yet and might or might not ever happen.“

I don’t see this being an issue at all. Perhaps you can provide a few examples of your complain?

To me, the banner stories being posted have been an improvement over the recent past. Like the current one about the Scout Camper. But maybe you’re not referring to these?

It seemed to me that new content for these banner articles used to be way too slow in coming....too often we saw the same old stories for weeks at a time.

But it has been a very noticeable and great improvement to see the continuum of new, interesting, well written articles popping up here the past 6 months or so. I think the guys here have been doing a great job of covering our wide variety of interests in these articles too.

In short, the site has gotten better and more interesting.

The ultimate stupidity test. Just how out to lunch are the overlanders? Now we can measure it.
