Mike,

A lot less post counters here as in the blue room. There is a lot of technical and idea sharing here as oppose to FJCF.

I think we met in Ouray. I'm Ben from the FJ Bruisers (Sun Fusion on 35's W/ rear winch & whited out D-pillar). I think we share the same profession.

Welcome sit back and make yourself at home.

BTW....did you get the Ranger yet. I was selling mine on the Blue Room, but no takers. It has everything including 8 IPF, Axe and Shovel mount, and Hi lift mount, and ladder. I want to get an ARB to mount a roof top tent for a trip to Baja W/ Uphill, and some of the other SoCal's

Hi Ben good to see you over here too. We did meet in Ouray, looking forward to seeing you this July too.

I ordered a "custom" GOBI full rack to fit my (4) IPF lights, they are making the top bar angled higher to protect the lights. I also ordered everything else, the Ladder, shovel & Axe Mounts along with Hi-Lift and Scepter fuel can mounts. I'm trying to finish up the RAPTOR for Expedition readyness. I stil have to build a sleep box on board VIAIR system, aux fuel tank and some other items. I can't wait to get the rack, I can't finish hooking up my Lowrance Baja 540C GPS system until I get the rack mounted. So, until then I have a mass of cables hanging down from the unit. Well, it's good to see you over here, I talked Larry into coming over here and joining too. Take care Ben :)

I had CruiserLarry make me a light bar for the Gobi so the lights nestle behind the front cross bar to keep them from limbs. It gives them protection and a good look.

As for the Viair I put it in the rear in the jack stowage area. It is safe and dry in there and still has room to breathe with the cab vent just below. The 2.5 gal air tank is just below nestled in front of the bumper and behind the axle.

I'm still up in the air about Ouray. It was fun last year, but if I go it would be primarily to hit Moab again. I have a new pop up I only used twice, so I was thinking of hitching it up and camping along the way.

Love the peepwall smilely... NICE... In my mind, it is a landcruiser...

Leroy, Good to see you in ExPo.

Toyota is trying hard to make it clear that the FJC isn't a LC. All those buying LC FJ 200's for $70K would scoff at the FJC in the same class, so it's markets as an FJ, but not a LC. It's designation is a GSJ15.

In short the LC 200 is an FJ and of course a LC
The FJC is an FJ, but the FJC is not a LC.

See you on the trail Bandi, Howzabout Ouray??

Is that Bandi, as in the famous Bandi Mount designed for the FJC? If you are the same, then good to see you over here too! I go by FJC over there.

Thanks for the Welcome Ben'...

Let me Clarify so as not to insult those with the
NEWER LC's, But I see the FJC as an Older Style
LC, pre-82' FJ40 and back Landcruiser, not the
current long frame ones of the FJ-60 and newer...
I know they are each their own, and have their
own +/-'s... I love um' ALL !...

No Ouray, I really Just could not commit that far
in advance this year again due to funding issues...
It's sad, but the damn' fuel prices are still too
high for a oneway trek of 2.3k+/- for us...

me too!

Glad to see you over here. I saw your Fj on the Blueroom. I am a member over there but dont frequent it much. Did not quite fit me. I was a member of Expo before I got the FJ and was wondering about others who might have them. This is a great site and it is nice to see some more FJC's over here. Mine has not been wheeled any as I am in Iraq still but I have a trip planned up in TN when I get home for May. There is not a scratch on her but I am sure that wont last long after I get home.

The rest of my pics are here http://good-times.webshots.com/album/561771917WIjDNu?vhost=good-times

So far it has Warn front/rear bumpers, PowerPLant Winch, Bud Built Skids, OME susp, TC UCA's, BFG m/t's.. sure I am forgetting something. Will do a kinda buildup when I get home for everyone to see. Hope yall enjoy... I am off to tower guard..yay..only a couple more weeks to go.

Actually the US spec 200 series isn't an FJ....it is designated as URJ200.

And technically, the FJC doesn't get its name from the way traditional Land Cruisers got theirs. If you look at if from a Land Cruiser point of view, the FJC isn't an FJ either.

In the end, it really doesn't matter. It's a cool rig, and that's all I care about.
