I picked up my new R1 and towed it 600 miles home. One night at ROA and one night in Ely Nevada with a temp of about 20 F. Right away I can see the improvements over the X22. Better insulation, more sophisticated heating system, higher quality cabinets. Air suspension to adjust ride height/fore and aft leveling, and give side to side leveling. The X22 towed fine behind my Tremor, but the R1 with its longer tongue and disk brakes is even better. The entry door and storage doors have better latches and seals, and with 20 miles on a dirt road there was no dust intrusion. 1,100 AH of batteries in an interior compartment that is heated. 1,240 watts of solar allows use of the AC and induction cooking without hookups. A very nice exterior pull-out kitchen. The R1 package seems like a lot of expense over the X195, but there is a lot to it.
