Got a 6" rigid and another dually so i can finally finish my dust lights. Abandoned the kc cyclones for now.

2 duallys will be my constant on amber dust lights

6" e series flood with a red lens will be my brake light.

Wow! Holy fabrication batman...
If this is slow, I'd love to see what a "fast" build is like...

I just picked up a 2003 Dodge CCLB and I'm debating between 35's and 37's. It's amazing how 33" on a Toyota look ok, yet on these full-size trucks 37" look just as good.

Since I'm a newbie Dodge guy, any recommendations for other forums?

I work in a big customizing shop, so for us fast builds have 200-300 hours of labor into them, completed in 6 weeks or less.

Run 37s if you have the gears and trans to support it. If the rest is stock, get 35s.

Carli and thuren will get you setup for suspension, Carli if you want something off the shelf, thuren if you want something that needs a little more skill to install, but performs specifically to your needs.

Fair warning: DTX members are just that: extreme. Majority of trucks are running desert suspension from Carli or thuren with King shocks and 37s or 39s, but don't feel out of place if you're not as built, that forum has a wealth of information,.

Thanks!

I've got 3.73 gears and I'm sure a stock 48RE... So I'll probably stick with the 35's for now.

I'll go check out Dodge Extreme. It's gonna be a family exploration/trailer towing/baja truck. They sound good.

Also, curious if you've done anything for communications or GPS yet. I might have missed it in the slow, 19 page, build thread.
And... You should make some of those tire carrier, fuel dump cages. Its a good design.

I use the leadnav app for ipad for offroad gps. Ill be adding a lowrance elite 7 ti in the future.

I have my ham radio license, and a yaesu ft-2900 in the truck with a comet sbb5 antenna. My radio is unlocked so it can be used on race radio frequencies. (155.00 ish).

What specifically is better about the Thuren bar compared to the Carli drop retaining the factory bar?

The Carli drop still suffered from the tail wag, with just less force. If the truck was loaded heavy it would still crab walk down the road with the right bump. Offroad, the rear end was just all over the place.

With the new geometry of this axle side bracket and the solid joints, the tail wag is non existent. I can feel my kit shocks actually working, instead of fighting the rear geometry.

This part is a home run.

My ignorance has been exposed do you mean coil spring rear suspension? If so yes I have a 14 cummins running the carli backcountry kit. I'm in North Texas but I'd love to take you up on that.

Yep. The coil sprig rear is a 5 link suspension type.

Let me know if you ever make it out to California. I have a house in DFW too, but am rarely there.

Where do you have the 2900 mounted? Looking for a place in my Ram. Any pics?
