New sprayer head for Zodi shower

I have read that some have changed out the little shower head on the Zodis.

The model above is the one I have.
I went to Lowes hardware over the weekend and looked at kitchen sprayers, and they use a female fitting, and somehow a hose slides in, and I assume it gets locked on via collar.

The Zodi showerhead has a male fitting that slips inside the hose.
For those of you that have changed yours out, what parts did you use?

I looked at full size showerheads but I think they would require to much water pressure to work?

I am looking at some type of sprayer that has the trigger on it to control the on/off of the water instead of having to turn it off via the tank.

If you turn off the flow of water while the burner is burning, you'll boil the water in the pipes and make them go kaboom...
Even if you're just running the pump and the burner is off, I'd think that stopping the flow would terminally tax the pump?
Anybody have a real-life experience to share?

The instructions say to remove from heat before inserting the pump. So I gather it is heat first, then use.

Yes, you never ever run the shower and flame at the same time.
Heat first with no pump inserted, take off of heat.
Insert the pump and pump up pressure with the hose set to off where it goes into the tank.
Turn on water and take shower.

It would be an extra trigger to pull after you have turned the valve on the tank end.
This will let you save water easier and control the water flow much better, kind of like those dish sprayers for your sink.

Yep, heat.. pull off the burner and shower. You can turn the water flow off/on all day long.

No advice from me about a aftermarket head.. i just use the one that came with it.

Better control than the 'pull open and push close', stock head. Slightly increased water pressure but requires a few extra pumps to prime the can's pressure than when using the stock sprayer.

Buy the head and new hose in a kit from Wally World for $8.

It has the same small red showerhead on it though like mine.

Yeah but my pump has to be running while the burner is on. I stick the head in the bucket to recirculate the water and get it hotter. Then turn off the heat and just run the pump from the bucket alone. It gets the water as hot as you like; wife loves it.
