The recall covers certain Discoverer... Evolution... Courser... Deegan...Adventurer... Hercules...
Back Country... Multi-Mile... Wild Country and Big O tires in several sizes.

I believe this is for tires used on “light trucks,” so that likely includes SUV tires too.

Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. is recalling more than 430,000 light truck tires in the U.S. due to concerns they can develop sidewall bulges that could lead to tire failure, according to documents released recently.

You should be able to look up your tires here to se if they are part of the recall:

“contact your nearest Cooper® Tires retailer or contact:

Cooper’s Consumer Relations Department
at 800-854-6288

If the tire retailer inspection verifies that you have a tire or tires that are part of a recall, it/they will be replaced with new tire(s) and will be mounted and balanced at no charge. Should any questions or issues arise while tires are being inspected or replaced, please call Cooper’s Consumer Relations Department at 800-854-6288.

If you are affected by a recall, and we or your Cooper® Tire retailer fail to replace your tire without charge and within a reasonable amount of time, you may submit written notification to the Secretary of Transportation at the following address:

National Highway Traffic Safety Administration
1200 New Jersey Avenue, SE
Washington, DC 20590
or
Phone the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s Vehicle Safety Hotline
at at 888-327-4236 (TTY 800-424-9153)
or
Go to www.safercar.gov “

If your vehicle has suffered any damage from a blowout, you might want to investigate getting those covered too:

FWIW, if you have any sort of all terrain tire in the brands listed, you're not going to get a free tread wear reset unfortunately...
None of the recalled tire models/sizes are "LT" designated tires, and they're all very mild street oriented P-designated tires in pretty small overall or large rim dia sizes.

I wonder if Goodyear now owning Cooper has affected (or effected) this recall...

I guess I’m reading different press releases, The oneI saw this morning referred to lT tires. But yeah, it does seem to impact a lot of P rated tires....so treat this thread as a head’s up for check on your DD.

This tire seems to be listed ...Big O AT/T Big Foot (275/65R18), for example, and is a recco for big truck. Still worth checking I’d guess.

But as to promised swap, they seem to be saying in the above company link that the work should be done at “No Charge” and you should be getting “New Tires”

You misunderstand... I meant to say that if you have what most of us consider All Terrain or more aggressive tires, your tires are not included... However, I was only looking at the Cooper link, which shows this:

Clicking on those specific recalls shows only pass car rated tires in very mild tread designs.

After seeing your response that there were other tires, I went looking and found this:

And this:

So it appears there are indeed some LT sizes of the AT/3 and a few other tires that might be affected.
My bad.
