New to Expo, but not Monteros

Hey guys. Took me long enough to finally get on here. Some may already know me from the wire as Angelo, I've been out of the Mitsu scene for around the last 4-5 years, occasionally posting on FB Mitsu page. Just wanted to officially introduce myself and hope I can check out & follow everyones treads more often now that I'm on here. Looking forward to seeing what's new and what the new generation of Mitsu owners have to offer for this aging platform.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys! Missed a lot of updates so hope to catch up, but I keep an eye behind the scenes so not completely lost lol.

Johnny, I wish. I had seen him often around me, finally ran into him when I had the Montero out a few years ago. Supposedly he was an active expo member and recently sold it. At the time he was thinkin. Of selling but I couldn't afford another vehicle at the time so it slipped through my fingers. He was a cool guy and it was an awesome rig!

Thanks Charger! I've had this beauty since new. Lots of mods, haven't wheeled much in the last 10 years (got married, had kids and motor went out at 215k) so I guess the "mall crawler" stamp & drive way ornament would fit me for now haha. Hope to change all that next year tho. Good to be back with the gang!

Good to have you back in the crew. Was going to ask where you picked up your bumper from?

I picked up the Pajero ARB 14-15 years ago. Our frame horns have to be modified to fit the brackets. Didn't bother me too much cause I cut mine off due to the 2" body lift and raised it. Much stronger now. Was shipped from Australia and took 3 months to get. The company I bought it from since then has gone out of business like 8-10 years ago called overlander.com. I think the bumpers can still be found?

awesome. Thanks man. Glad my rig inspired it. It's been around a while now, just not being used as it used to. But I'll be at it again hopefully soon. Just make sure you get some heavy duty spray paint or even better, powdercoat!

haha I think it's my user name that has made it a consist search on Google. I used to post a lot more and had more pics, but since those days, I've lost the images and pictures now come out more clear than the cameras I used to use 10-15 years ago lol

I remember when you got in the Montero game Toasty. You've done a lot of cool things many of us dream about. Keep up the good work! Also, didn't you have another rig with something on the hood? Or am I thinking of someone else? lol

You guys got me digging up some old pics lol. Miss those days. Here's proof that I actually use the Montero other than a driveway ornament. It wasn't always clean and for looks haha. It's functional too, I promise! lol

Yeah, I had a white '94 and my first yellow '88 both had a Sepultura logo on their hoods. The blue one did but once the original blue paint started oxidizing it looked horrid, which led to some flat black in the center of the hood and rocker panels.
