jet noise,
Thank you for the heads up on your Build that awesome! Do you remember what length your axle is WMS to WMS? I like the idea of not having to cut up the sides of the trailer if i don't have too, but I'm wanting to have 255/75/17 goodyear tires on stock 17" moab's and I'm sure if they will fit. I found I guy who can get a 3500 lb axle in 5x5.

also do you have any pictures of it behind your jeep?

Nate!

When I get home today I can do some measuring. I didn't mod the frame myself, cause I can't weld, but the mod is simple enough! Mine are 31s I think. Anyway, the jeep pictured in thephotobucket album is gone now and I have another. It sits nice and level behind it. I'll try and post some photos up!

I had to get the sides of my pop-up trailer frame modified to fit larger tires. I had to hire a welder, because I can't weld. I have a more detailed build thread on another forum. If you want to read about it you can find it HERE I start discussing the problem in post #70. Ended up being an easy $120 fix (and that included the welder welding on stabilizing jacks, the spring seats to the axle and welding on the propane tank mounts) in addition to just the trailer frame fix.

Texas TJ,
Sorry I have not had a chance to measure the WMS distance on the axle, but here's some pics of it behind the new rig. BTW, Thom, im interested to see how yours turns out!

Nate,
I actually had to look up what WMS meant, and one possible definition was Wild Monkey Sex. Since I'm pretty sure that's not what you were looking for, the Whell Mounting Surface distance is 62", lol. I forgot what bolt pattern this one was, but maybe it was a 5x5. Anyway I couldnt mount the factory wheels I wanted to use because of back spacing issues. I am happy with my steelies though. Anyway here's a picture of the bar code label on my axle, just in case:

Well we got home with the pop up last night at about 2 am it was a whirlwind of a day! It needs a lot of work for sure but I got the Guy to some down $300 when I shoed him all that was wrong with it and what I was going to need to resort it. The work is fine with me I was looking for a Project to keep my busy. I am going to strip the camper down to the Frame this week and then work my way back up!!!

Nice trailer I keep looking at these and think it would fit great on my 101A2 frame.

So I'm into my demolition right now and wanted advice on how to get the metal sides of the trailer off the wood without damageing them?

Thanks

Nate
