New to the forum, building a trailer...what do you think?

Finally got the canvas finished. Didn't put any side windows as planned...didn't figure I'd be needing them. The canvas snaps in and makes it very wind/water proof. Going to Big Bend Tx to try it out this weekend. :victory:

Took my wife over Rockdawg's house to see this "THING". Even she was googly-moogly impressed...and she usually doesn't give a hill-of-beans about this kind of stuff. It was funny to watch her gawk and carry on about how cool it is. If she is impressed...it's worth being impressed about!

Super nice job on the build...almost makes me want to pull a trailer...almost.

I have a question. granted you live in an area that sees little rain but with the split upper bed having hinges how did you make it water tight? My only thought is maybe a piece of bike tire cut and glued in between. would love to hear your cure though.

We must think a lot alike! I used a strip of "rubberized" cloth material that I got from McMaster Carr industrial supply. This was glued with an adhesive made for motorhome applications. It appears to be a decent seal...but time will tell.
