Full Size Diesel here too. Nice find on the truck! I always liked the old body style with the extended cab!

More diesel love

Just picked her up a few months ago. Need to get a camper for her. No major complaints so far....ain't she pretty? (hope the pic shows up)

93', W250, diesel, automatic transmission (had to, got a bad back). Was tossing around getting a regular cab, glad I didn't. Had a 95' Ford diesel extended cab and swore then I would never get a regular cab again. Having the extra room makes things so much easier, for me anyway. Going to put a fridge in the cab someday, looking forward to that and a camper. And putting another 300 thousand miles on her.

Haven't been keeping real good track of the fuel mileage, but I've been pleased with it. Got 18.3 miles to the gallon with an easy 2000 pounds on her back thru north eastern Nevada. Very long and flat with a tail wind at 60 to 65 miles an hour.

your turning radius

Pratty - was somewhat surprised to hear you mention your turning radius being a bit wide. Maybe the size of your tires or a suspension mod has something to do with it? I just know that that was one of the things I was very pleased with when I got my truck.

nice. I originally bought this burb and I had a 12V ready to put in it till I came across my dodge.

the burb is a 6.2 that I'm now selling and I sold the 12V I was going to put in it.

98 dodge quad cab with a 12V !

so far I just shamelessly copied 1speed use of hammered black paint on the rims that came on the truck since they were 8" wide but wouldn't come clean.
found a cap and bed kit on craigslist, guages, new gearbox and brace, all new bushings in the front end, and gauges.

needs a trans now thou.

gets 17.6 mpg running 75 on the highway..

The older Ford's have a huge turning radius. When Ford went to coils and a control arm they knocked 5.5' off of any configuration. I've driven in to Baja with a '90 F-350 crewcab longbed and you've gotta really plan out those turns. I'd look into an aftermarket softride suspension too as it's slow going with the stock leafs.

Get a transferflow instead of the Aero tank.

That being said, I used to have a '99 F250 7.3 Powerstroke. Now I have a '07 2500 5.9 Cummins
