New Truck

Hey guys I just bought a 2006 Lex LX470 with 30k on the clock. This truck was babied and I am planning on creating an expedition vehicle out of it. I just sold my 2006 Ford F250 crew cab that I used for towing and also outdoor adventures. I am excited to get into this truck and build her up. I have done searches here and on I8mud.com. However I can't get a definate answer on the suspension situation. Do I remove the AHC suspension and go OME ?

Planned weight adding mods :

ARB front Sahara Bar bumper with winch
Slee or ARB rear bumper with tire swing out
Frontrunner roof rack
Lights
Dual Battery
Compressor
Tires - BFG 285s on the stock 18 inch rims
Slee sliders
Fridge Freezer
Pull out drawers in the rear - 3rd row seats gone and in storage already
Crate for my dog
Recovery and camping gear on the roof and in the back

Does anyone on the forum have a LX470 that is built ?

I love that guys build up but that's a 200. I will probably mirror that to some extent.

If you are building a 100, contact John Shotts, ShottsCruisers here on the board. He has a very well built 100 that runs 35s and you could learn alot about what works and what doesn't to build a 100 right.

Here is his buildup thread. He's a good guy, a little out there at times, but a good guy none the less. Fiercely loyal to Toyotas would be an understatement.

Actually it's a 4Runner or a Prado 90/120 series

The Prado 90/120 is sold as a Lexus GX here in the states. Same running gear as the 4Runner.

The Lexus LX is the full size Land Cruiser, 80, 100, & 200 series.
