Hi guys. I want to ask you Nissan guys your opinion. I'm thanking about getting a new pick up truck 4x4.(frontier ). I'm a plumber and I will use it for work and for play. What do you guys thank auto or Manual? Which one is a stronger transmission. Thanks.

Some configurations are only available with auto like pro-4x and leather so sometimes it comes to what else you want, mine is auto so on long trips I can get my wife to drive, but my first choice would have been manual

Well I just want to know if the auto is stronger or the manual is stronger.

Hi I went to google then they sent me to Nissan USA website to find this answer.
6 speed manual 4x4 with v6 = 1235 lbs
5 speed auto 4x4 with v6 = 1215 lbs
5 speed manual 4x2 4cyl = 971 lbs
5 speed auto 4x2 4cyl = 932 lbs

Answer: 6 speed manual with v6 is 15 lbs stonger than the auto. :smiley_drive: just razing you

Dude, working in N. Hollywood traffic or in LA in general you'd be a glutton for punishment if you choose a manual transmission. Now if you're looking at buying a used truck with high mileage then like with anything else it really depends on how well it's been maintained.

The thing with the autos is they're plenty reliable IF you change the fluids regularly. Not only are they pretty reliable you usually find more towing capacity with the autos (clutches burn when towing heavier loads). Personally I feel that manuals belong in sports cars, everything else autos.
