My new baby, still a mud virgin too!. Taking it slow since just a lease for now and hoping Nissan follows thru with the diesel in the Frontier by the time it expires.

Add a expo rack, camping gear, basket and more aggressive tires but not much else for now.

Here are a handful of pics of my Frontier. I bought it new in 2004, and have been having fun with it for almost 11 years now. 2" body life, 3" suspension (UCA's, Sway-away T bars, new LCA's, ball joints, etc., etc.) Roof rack, 33" M/T's, Soft Topper, Cobra 29, and a custom rear cage bumper with hitch receiver that me and a buddy fabbed up.
Cheers!

Odd man out at the Toyota party this weekend. This was my first real trail run since moving to Arkansas, it's quite a bit more technical than what I ran in Georgia. Came home and ordered a lift kit (cheapy spacers, got to save some dough for OME ultimately)

Can I ask why the FJ on the far left has the snorkel head rotated 180? I know you can do that at low speeds if it's pouring rain/snow outside, but if you forget about it and start going fast, you can pull a vacuum in your IM which is a very bad thing. I don't have a snorkel yet but I was under the impression that you always leave it facing forward, because there are other ways to keep water out of your intake.

I thought that was kind of weird but I didn't ask. The snorkel head should be keeping the water out by design.

This is actually not true. Scott Brady has an article somewhere about the effects of facing the snorkel backwards. Actually makes very little difference. The Mantec snorkels for Discos only draw air from the back, and they don't stall on the highway.

Hmm, interesting. I always heard the opposite, but then again I don't have one yet and didn't really put too much thought into it. I'll see if I can find that article, thanks.
