Full beam axles, four coils and four discs.

Not knocking the Yoto's but these are tougher.

Not hardly ;) But still an awesome truck none the less. IS it a 4.2 TD??? I Love Aussie Ute's, I wish that the idea would catch on here...

Not mine. Just some photos of a SAC'd Nissan that joined our TTORA Anza run earlier this year. One of my favorites along with many posted here. Not sure if he's a member here or not.

Yes Dave, 4.2TD 5 spd manual.

It is surprising the tray hasn't caught on over there as they are very handy.
Mine has fold down sides that can be removed to prevent damage when out playing.

The driveline is so much beefier including the CV's than the Landcruisers.

HOLY!!!!!!!!!! SexyChick that SAS'd Fronty has some GREAT flex. Nicely done, who built/what is the suspension set-up on it. That's one cool Nissan for sure. I rarely see SAS'd Nissans but this one is very well done. Looks like great, thoughtfull fabwork. And most importantly it performs. Now get that tranny issue fixed so you don't loose it on a hill or something wierd. Well done on that truck. The new Fronty looks awesome too. Those trucks have definatly grown on me in a major way.

Very cool, if it's the 4.2 + manual then it's litteraly the TOP of the Nissan heap in terms of beef and strength. Those trucks have that massive H-something 223 Rear or 233 axle??? That thing is massive. I never really got a look-over of the front axle, what are it's specs??? All the patrols that pooped out on us were Auto's (that were eaither under cooled or had fluid retention issues) or had the newer 3.0TD that really really liked to pop HG's at the WORST time (is there really a good time eh ;) ) That seemed like not enought engine hauling that heavy of a truck to me. Oddly enough I rarely saw Utes of your Generation (I love those...)around and only the odd GU(not sure of the body/model des. letters)??? The kind of square one that was also a Ford Maverick or something. There's a guy here in the states with one and I actually really love the body shape of those. I just don't know all the intrecate model designations with Patrols like I do Cruisers so it's tougher for me to know what I'm looking at.

I lived in S. Central QLD for almost a year and like I said I LOVE UTE BEDS!!!!!!. The simplicity of the fold-down slide off pin set-up is just...well it's my kind of simple, functional genius. If I had a P/U it would have a ute bed on the back of it for sure.

Your ute in particular looks impressive. I really like it, perfect stance, looks like it get's used like trucks do down there eh. It's sad to see all the 4wd's here in the States that will never be in 4wd or even a hint of an off-road situation. Over there I loved living in a smaller town where everyone drove old beat up Toyo's and Nissy's that looked like they were extra vehicles in a Mad Max film. Got anyomore bush pics to stir my heart a bit and make me get off my laurels and get back??? I miss the Bluegums and the Ironbarks, and the tea trees and the cicada's chirping away every morning...

Anyway, love your country, hope to get back sooner as opposed to later and I like your Patrol too.

Cheers

Thank you VERY much!! We are very proud of what both trucks have become. As for who built it..that would be my fiance (Penski61). He is a self-taught welder who has done all the fabrication on both rigs. We had some help from some Nissan friends with getting the front axle setup and geared and the new gears in the t-case. The suspension is: Procomp Toyota springs up front and 63" Chevy springs in the rear. Bilstein shocks in front and back. Obviously spring over axle.

Very cool, my compliments to your fiance cause he's done some GREAT work on those trucks. Awesome build.

That Pathy is great too. From next to no SAS'd Nissans to quite a few awesome examples. Nice rig mate.

Cheers
