Agree, sweet Patrol! I hear about them from time to time up in Alaska but don't see pictures often.

I had this in Michigan. Daily drove it for about 9 months with no top--even through the winter. It sat in the back yard of the previous owner for months before I traded a Jeep Cherokee with a blown head gasket for it. He had gotten it at a place where he worked somewhere around the middle of the state-supposedly there is one more still sitting where this one came from and the tops for both are laying in the dirt next to it. I sold it and the rest of my belongings and moved to Dutch Harbor, AK in 2006. The current owner has done a great job maintaining it and tracking down a few stock parts. If I recall it was a '64.
Picked up our 2005 X-mas tree with it and it even was included in our X-mas card photo.

I always loved my Xterras but had to move to a solid axle and the Cherokee was less expensive than a swap 
Some friends and I were told an Xterra could not do Hell’s gate in Moab… all 3 of us did and I was also were able to do lion’s back while still open. I still attend GOX when I can although my only Nissan is an Altima coupe.

I guess you mean LionsBack? I am so glad we decided to do it when we still could. Actually in that video I was driving down and buddy filmed from behind. When done my co driver borrowed my truck and drove up with another group as he was amped It's pretty fun doing the 15 point turn at the top too 
It's actually easiercoming down because you can see the track. Going up all you see is blue sky and have to look out the sides and hope you are good.
Hell's Gate is a really fun obstacle too... you have to just trust your spotter and do what he says. Most of the rollbacks on this obstacle seem to be from not listening to your spotter.
Everyone needs to run out in Moab at least once... you will not be let down by it's fun.

I agree one of the stops on a 3 month cross country trip with my sister & 3 dogs was Moab. We hit 3 trails in her new 2012 Ford Explorer, it had 1k miles at start of the trip and over 13k at the end....It's not new anymore ...lol. Moab was one of the highs of the trip.

I agree. My first trip to Moab was in '93. I came back every fall for 2 weeks to mountainbike & camp. In 2004, I sold my company in Florida and semi-retired. In 2007, I moved to Utah full time to explore. Moab is 3 hours south of me. I have been exploring this state for almost 20 years and am now getting a handle on it. There is just so much to see! Start in Moab and work your way out from there.
Here's a pic of my Titan the day I got it. Almost 1K miles on it (for me). I'm still shaking it down, and the modding begins soon! I'll start a thread for that.
