Mud flaps are on, some painting done, just chains, tucking the wires away properly and reflectors to go. Hopefully I can go back for a blueslip this week.

Got around to removing the now too short chains and welding on some new rated ones, ready for a blueslip finally

Ha, when I said chains I meant chains on the back of the mud flaps to keep them off the wheels. Looking good though, like making use of the old chain link for a hanger.

Passed the blue slip no problems, ARN number is now the stamped in chassis number and is being registered as a 1965 model, now just need the RMS (Roads and Maritime Services) to get their system back up so I can get a plate for it....

Tows really well with the McHitch, no noise other than the old rattle from an empty trailer having a bit of a bounce but don't even feel it's there. I'm really happy with the state it is in now and got to finally check it on a level road to sit if it sits level... Looks like my measurements were pretty good. Now to get a spare wheel for it and do a few discreet modifications.

Looks good. What cargo are you planning to haul with it? Anything permanently mounted in the bed?

Nothing permanent in the bed, I will make a self contained battery box that can come out and go in to run the fridge and hook up to solar but other than that it'll just be camping gear, Jettent F25X etc. I already have isolated power going to the back of the jeep under the rear bar so I can charge the trailer battery whilst on the road as well.

Decided to add a jockey wheel but wanted a removable one as I don't need it most of the time, also offroad I can put it in the tub where it won't get damaged. Also bought a new canvas cover, they still make them!!!

Welded a pipe mount on.

Painted it and done

Pull the pin to flip it up, put the pin back in, then wind it out to lock it against the chassis/tub so it won't rattle.

Great idea Steve.

Much better the the bungy cord that I have on mine holding the handle and wheel against the drawbar.
