No Tiger GT style Ex50 conversions?

So I stumbled upon the Astro based TigerGT, seems like a great way to maximize available space

Looks to me like a clever layout that doesn't interfere too much in terms of driving, but I've never seen anything similar on an E-series base.

Closest I've found is UJOR's with XP Camper cell

Is there some dream vehicle I'm missing out there?

I've been pushing Tiger for an E series based camper, we've had a lot of nice talks about it.

Especially as the e-series is cab and chassis only now, they are ready to go. Just add the tiger coach to them and 4x4 and you've got the makings of the perfect rig, one that i think most SMB(camper van) people wish was out there. There really is no next step or in between to from Van to larger class c/earth roamer/ truck based tiger.

Exactly. More than a 4x4 Sprinter, less than the big boys.

What happened to your XP camper Chris? That was a sweet set up but I guess you prefer building your own like most of us?

Cheers

I only had it 6 months. It was nothing but problems.

Did the XP come before or after the Sherpa?

Before. Built V4 to take the XP, made the Sherpa to meet my needs for the next few years. Then had 2 more kids and bought a damn trailer!

Wish I had just bought a FourWheel camper, would probably still have it. The Sherpa is great for me and the type of camping I do now.

There are Earthcruisers which are in between IMO (size wise, not price).
Basing this off the E-Series would be a great way to cut cost, with its almost-flat-nose being a small compromise in terms of volume, and it's just an ubiquitous vehicle in North America.
I feel a Sportsmobile with that over-the-cab pop-up bed would retain most of the driveability and offer that much more space inside once popped up.
