Not Really a Build, But: 2015 F-150

Long story short, my last 3 trucks all had over 150k miles and all ended up losing transmissions. I got fed up. I traded in my 2006 Trailblazer SS that I was silly enough to get a loan on. They gave my a beyond generous offer (over $10k) and I picked up my 2015 F150. I should have done my homework because from reading the dealer description it was packaged almost exactly how I'd build one.
Crew Cab
5.0l
Peasant Trim (XLT)
302a
3.73 E-Locker
4x4

Turns out a Chevy dealership has no idea how to read a Ford door tag and it was a 3.31 L3 (E-Locker). This hits me the hardest as I already bought wheels planning on throwing 35s on it ASAP. The 21mpg is cool for now though.

Anyway, here it is.

You can get a tune and up the HP to help offset the larger tires. IIRC you can also run the Mustang GT intake manifold and pick up a noticable HP increase.

Nice looking truck! I've got the 5.0L in my '15. I've put 37,000 miles on it since I bought it. About 65,000 on the truck now. It's been good so far.

Only thing not stock on it is the stock sized Duratracs.

Mine's the plainer 301A pkg with the FX4 / Sport packages. Only thing I miss not having is a remote start.

I'm sure you'll enjoy yours! post up pics when you get the new wheels / tires put on.

Sharp looking truck. I went with two tone on my '17 lariat to get away from the chrome bumper. The bronze fire metallic, and the caribou don't look to bad together. I'm planning on going with 275/70R18's to bump up to a 33" on the stock suspension, have read that with my 3.55 gears I should stay below 35" tires. Seeing pictures of your truck makes me miss mine, and I can't wait till I get home. Saw a thread on here talking about Falken AT3W's being a decent tire.

That's funny, I have the sport option with the body color bumper and I wish it was chrome. (Starting to get quite chipped up from rocks) I think chrome would hold up better.

They are good tires, but once they wear 50% they get loud and traction decreases drastically

Not worth the high end price tag IMHO
I did notice they got louder, but my personal experience was that I did not notice a decrease in traction. I will likely buy another set as I like that they are also a All Weather tire. So, it saves the cost of having to run two sets of tires. I'll just wait for a buy 3 get 1 free sale, lol...
