Please accept our apologies.

We have to apologize for this post. Several claims were made that are untrue. First, we hired an outside marketing firm to handle our group buys and that was a mistake. We should have been monitoring this thread closely, but we didn't and that's on us. We'd like to clear the air on a few things and get back on track.

1. Fact, we are not one of the "Original Creators" of roof top tents.
2. Fact, we weren't around 10 years ago making roof top tents.
3. Fact, we do make our tents in China and we actually flew to China and talked with the manufacturer to get our tents as perfect as we could. And we stand behind our products 100%.
4. Fact, we've been building our trailers in Bend, Oregon since 2014.
5. Fact, we've been selling trailer tents for our trailers since 2014.

We've created a new RTT group buy also.

Just to eliminate my confusion. You design/sell trailers as well as RTT's? Are these made in the US? Just wondering as I have been researching trailers for almost 2 years and never heard of your brand of RTT's or your trailers or your company at all. And your offerings look like all the chinese made RTT's that are currently available so what is the original part about them? When I searched for more information it comes back to a company called sumner rv that sells rv and stuff out of washington state. So is freespirit making these trailers and tents or are they sourced by you or this other company and just resold because I am confused.

Yes, we design and manufacture trailers in Bend, Oregon.
Yes, we design and manufacture roof top tents, ground tents, awnings, and annexes in China.
The originality of our roof top tents are mainly fabric, sizes and color choices. We are also the only company using Poly Oxford instead of Poly Cotton on our rainflys for extended durability. Larger YKK zippers.
The owner of Freespirit Recreation also owns Sumner RV.

This is actually a very small community, one built primarily on trust and honest communication.

I'm not sure your blaming this all on an "outside marketing company" really carries any (or enough) weight to outdo the damage that the dishonesty has done to your company.

You may wish to address the cause of the earlier untruths that were told in this thread in somewhat more detail, and outline what you (as a company) have done to make sure something like this never happens again before simply starting another group buy, and by extension asking for customers to send you money and trust you.

I know that, based on this thread and its contents - I wouldn't trust your company enough to purchase anything from you at this point in time.
