NumNutz's ExPo Taco Build

I will be moving out to California summer of 2013 and will be taking about three weeks to transit the country. As of right now, I will be starting my overland journey in Colorado, and continuing through Montana, Wyoming, Idaho, Utah, and Arizona before reaching my final destination in San Diego. This will be my first overlanding trip so I decided to make it over 2,000 miles lol. My father as my sidekick, we will take on the Rockies and adjacent mountain ranges together. Personally, I think it's a little too ambitious and I won't make it all the way to Arizona, but we'll see.

I will need a tool for the job and so my 07 Tacoma will be revamped for the extended overlanding expedition. I figured since the truck was going in a different direction it deserved a new build. Looking to have the truck 90% finished by the end of January.

I wouldn't say scatter or glare, really it just lights up the hood. But I can see for over a 1/4 mile as if it were day time and it lights up street signs over a 1/2 mile away.

Haha yea small world. This photo was taken in Harwood (South County).

I've thought about having the middle section of the hood wrapped in black, but right now I'm really not bothered by the reflection.

Awesome truck! How do you like the room inside the Access Cab? Is it sufficient? I'm only 5'8 180lbs so I don't need a huge interior (f150, silverado, etc.)
Just heard some reports that the access cab were really not that beneficial. Figure it'd be enough to through my kicker 10/amp and some gear behind the driver seat and still have room for 2 others. Sure, it seems big on the dealer's lot, but once you've settled in and have accumulated your daily crap...that's what I'm looking for.

Again, sick truck.

Super nice Taco. I really am digging that "hybrid" style front bumper.

Nice retrofit too ;)

Thank you!

I like the access cab. I'm about the same size and I think it's fine. With a 10" kicker you should be fine. With your daily crap, you won't have much floor place left, but then again, if you need more space there is always the double cab.
