Astro 1442 installer.

did not come w/ 8-32 mandrel, so i ordered one.

there seems not to be an 8-32 nose piece.

what to do?

When you install nutserts always use a triangle or square shaped file to file a corner or two into the hole you drilled. That way when your nutsert crushes down into it they key together & won't spin when you want to remove the fastener later.
I haven't used a lot of nutserts but have never had any issues. Sounds like a good hack though.

Brilliant idea. I'll do that next time. Usually I put a dab of JB-Weld on the backside, but I like your idea.

i put some into my contractor cap exterior. i used 3M 5200 in the hole, around the nutsert, and under a fender washer on top. along with the aforementioned notch filed in the hole perimeter.

any question why my production level is on par with glacial progress?
