Yeah...we did the trailer thing too. They are great to stake claim to a great camp spot...you can leave behind and head out to explore. It is the times when your on a trail that turns into a sucker hole and you get all jammed up in a trail....not fun man handling the trailer. The SMB walk threw was great.... when it is blowing snow or piss'n rain, you cant beat it. We can set up our pop up and close it up faster than our electric top on our SMB.....I still would not go back to the van

Does your tailgate stay on when you have the camper on ? hard to tell in the very last photo you posted. Very nice rig I have an FJ cruiser and the wife has a 2006 F250 we are thinking of setting her truck up like yours.

It's funny how people think having the big tires and lift the thing is going to roll over because of the center of gravity so high. Driving one is the only way to see how stable the truck really is on and off road.

when we first started I left the tailgate on. We used the step inside of it and we left fire wood and a 2k genset on it. Plus it is nice to have a platform off the ground to shower on and to get out of your nasty/dirt hiking gear.

x2. Seems super stout, capable, and comfortable. :smiley_drive:

X3!! Makes me want to paint my camper to match my superduty! I like how it looks with the bumper and lift. Seeing yours makes me want to go with 35's soon!

I also keep the tailgate on. Lucky bending over toe get in the camper for me isnt a big deal, and as you said its nice to have a plaform to use. Keep the picts coming!!!!

Too bad you didn't make it to Expo. I was really stoked about checking out your set up in person. Maybe another time somewhere around Moab on my next trip down there.
