I will be there on the 6th.

Maybe I will buy you some nachos and have you measure my truck bed for a new FWC. :sombrero:

Glad to hear you'll be out there Stan. Looking forward to see your new models. We'll be at the show in building 4 (main hall) running the Trasharoo booth.

We will be running an Overland Journal/Snow Peak promotion at the show all weekend as well.

No worries for us.

:)

We do shows all the time.

Each show has a different function for us.

Some shows we attend are geared towards getting new sales, other shows we do are geared towards getting our campers out in front of new faces for more exposure, and some shows we attend we are there to support a bigger cause.

We are also heading out to Anza Borrego that same weekend with a few FWC owners to camp out in the desert for a couple of nights (small low key outing).

We normally don't do the Off Road Expo in Pomona (I think it has been 10 years since we have done that show).

But now that there is a building at show for the "overland" crowd, we felt it was something worth attending.

If Overland Journal, Sportsmobile, Adventure Trailers, Four Wheel Campers, and other similar vendors go, it is a "win/win" for all of us. As long as the vendors promote the show, each company will attract its own set of potential customers. I think there is quite a bit of similarity between the different customers.

The benefit for the customers .. they get to see all of the cool products under one roof.

:)

Now back to the point of this thread

X2!

STAN, have a good time. I got a bunch of friends that will be attending; I told them to check you out as I know one is actually in the market for a camper now…. Hope you make out like a bandit there!

X2! Stan, wish I could see some of the new products in person! Have fun down there.

I'm sure there are plenty of us that wish we could make it to either event as I do. Ya'll have a great time at whichever event you choose. :smiley_drive:

Stan, we'll see you down there. You're invited to join us for a brew at Claremont Craft Ales.

We'll have a Horizon and JK with a Habitat in the booth at the show and look forward to seeing all our friends and making new ones.

As a supporter of Rendezvous and a long time vendor at Off Road Expo, we are sorry that we don't have the band width to be in both places at once. We understand that the Boy Scout Camp had limited availability and Rendezvous picked a date based upon a consensus decision. Because the Off Road Expo is a much larger consumer venue, we chose it as it makes good business sense. We'll be at Rendezvous in spirit

If we were only a visitor at Off Road Expo, I would go on Saturday as that is when the most activity is, then head up the hill to the Rendezvous for the the evening Happy Hour, raffle and campfire fun. The best of both!

I am hoping that the "overland/glamping/camping/" vendors have a very successful weekend at the Pomona Expo. I have attended a couple of times and honestly I have found the amount of product booths that really peek my interest few and far between. With my current mangled foot I wouldn't enjoy weaving my way through the crowds looking for the cool stuff.

I don't wear black crew socks with shorts and like my hat bills curved.

Wish I could make the ORE, but too much going on. I have been in the past a couple of times and even when it was geared toward the dune and racing crowd, I still enjoyed looking at the eye candy. There was some amazing fabrication and I got some ideas for my builds, even though they were different sides of the spectrum. It's always nice to see someone elses solution to a problem.

Might try next year and hopefully, there will be an "overland" presence again.

My wife and I are coming to Pomona for the ORE this weekend and staying the week after to do some touring etc. (How funny is it that my wife is a quilter and there is a quilt show on at the same facility at the same time!) We would like to driver up to Big Bear but I am looking for someone with knowledge of roads in that area. Can I drive a small rental car from Big Bear to Lake Arrowhead then for a more scenic drive should I take HWY 138 or 173 over to HWY 15. We then want to go up to Hwy 2 and take that over to Glendale. Is this a realistic route in a rental car? Is this a day trip? If we start out in Big Bear in the morning will we get to Glendale by dark? Any information or things we need to see along the way please toss out the ideas. Please keep in mind we will be driving a small rental car.
We are coming to the ORE to look at Expedition vehicles with the hopes of fitting in the Jeep Habitat.
Thanks in advance!

Snow Peak will be also at the ORE featuring a few set-ups of the IGT Kitchen System as well as our popular Pack & Carry Fire Pit with a bunch of the accessories. We'll also be showing some furniture pieces as well as a bunch of other camp kitchen accessories.

We will also have a brand new lighting product that we're really excited to be showing to the public for the first time.
