Brainstorming ideas for the rack on top. Saw a few other threads but not super impressed with the solutions for raising and lowering the RTT. Would love to hear any thoughts on this.

I think I am just going to build a retractable rack and use a scissor jack for the time being. Just don’t like that I would have to keep enough space between the tent and the top of the trailer to slide the jack into place...

Got the floor panel installed, propane tank supports installed, started on the slide out for the cooler.

Pics aren’t great, I’ll try to get some without the sun shining on it next weekend.

Thanks for the tip! I have decided to just mount the RTT straight to the top of the trailer. Maybe I’ll build a lift system in the future. No need for the annex for the time being.

Got some work done on the doors and the tailgate.





Used the spare from the jeep to start measuring out the fenders.

Was able to get some work in on the doors. Probably finish the top on Sunday and get started on the fenders.

Reinforced the top frame to try and limit heat warp in the sheet metal when it is welded.



Was able to get a start on the fenders as well.

It is made by Durham Mfg. Part number 305b-95. The drawer compartments can be ordered separately. We have a Partner 2 burner stove that fits perfectly in the bottom drawer. Here is a link for the drawers.

Productive day! Got the top and front welded on. Fenders are almost finished, just need to tack the skin on. Cooler slide out is complete as well.
