The ARB is growing on me. But it's huge and probably weighs a ton. I'm hoping that maybe when the time and money come, I can convince Aluminess to make something for me.

I had never heard of that company. Looks like they do good work with aluminum. I would rather have aluminum as this thing is not going to see hard core rock crawling. Just need something that can carry a spare and hold up better than the stock plastic bumpers. Depending on cost I would be in for a set of bumpers.

Find it really hard to believe they have nothing for the Jeep market. Such a large market!

Aluminess seems to have a great reputation among the Sportsmobile crowd. I'm not sure who else does good work with aluminum, but yeah, steel is overkill for these things.

I had followed online these guys when they were designing it. I swear they were discussing an aluminum option.

If you want a rear bumper/tire carrier option, I was in contact with CBI Offroad last year. I was trying to get a custom rear bumper for my wife's WK2. She ended up not liking the sketches and made me get a JKUR. No complaining here... lol. This was my very poor MS Paint sketch:

I had a JKUR and wish I could get another one but it just doesn't fit into our life right now. The Diesel with comfort features and 29 MPG is perfect but I still need to be able to venture off the beaten path with some protection. Per the comments above Drcoopster didn't like the design of the hitch-mounted option. I too don't really like the thought of it as my summit bumper will get torn up pretty quickly. Replacing it seems like a better idea. Something definitely along the lines of what you sketched out is what I am thinking!

The Uneek front bumper looks great, but the cost is out there. Never mind that shipping one from Australia would be prohibitively expensive. At that price, I can take a refresher welding class, buy the materials and equipment, and make my own. :xxrotflma

I did notice that the aluminum WK2 front bumper (still with steel mounting supports) is 55kg and the all-steel version is 75kg, and they're priced pretty close to each other.
