Oil Cooler Lines, ATF rating ok?

Original oil cooler rubber lines finally started to give out the last 6 months so I ordered some new ones off eBay. What came fits perfectly, but the hose carries a GM ATF rating. Is ATF interchangeable for engine oil lines?

probably, atf is just oil with different additives so it should be fine.

I would think so. ATF is automatic transmission fluid, which can also be used as power steering fluid on some vehicles. They all get plenty hot, and under pressure, so I figure you are good to go. Note: I am only a YouTube Mechanic, and an uncertified one at that

I am also not a certified mechanic, but ATF lines should be rated for fuel/oil. Those should work without issues.

The only type of hose that I know you cannot use with any oil is silicone. It will absorb oil and can expand.

EPDM (what fan belts are made of) will also break down if soaked in oil

So is there no such thing as true engine oil flexible hose?

Stock Mitsubishi lines are still available from any dealer or the OEM dealer online sites.
