Ome 887 coils

My Donahoe coil overs need to be rebuilt and having had the chance to drive an FJ with Ome 885 coil I decided to try this setup on the truck. I called Wheelers and spoke to Dan about my truck and with the extra weight winch with factory bumper, skids, sliders and we decided on the Ome 887 coil. It has the same spring rate as the 885 coil but is a little longer to carry the extra weight instead of adding a spacer to 885 or using an 886 coil. I find the ride to be really nice and sit about the same ride height maybe tad higher as the Donahoe coil overs. I think it is a good option for a Tacoma truck with a little extra up front and still what the ride of a 885 coil. I have the chance to get the Donahoe's rebuilt to extended travel and will decide what setup I like best.

Are you having Icon rebuild your Donahoes, or someone else? Did they quote you a price for re-building? My Donahoes have well over 100,000 miles on them and I'm thinking it might be time for a rebuild too.

Downsouth Motorsports will rebuild mine they are very close to my house in San Diego, I have about 70k on mine and they definitely needed rebuild.
