OME Shock Damage

Gents,

Forgive me if this has been addressed before. I searched but didn't find an answer. Has anyone had this type of damage on their OME rear shocks? The leafs appear to be rubbing the shock body during flex. I have the Dakar Heavy Duty kit (CSO46RA, CSO46RB) with Dakar AAL.

Thanks,
John

As noted the OME shocks are a twin-tube design, so while some external denting has an asthetic effect, it doesn't hamper the function of the shock. The newer Nitrocharger Sport shocks have a plastic dust shield so they realize less of an impact.

Kurt,

Are the new Nitrocharger shocks thinner than the older shocks shown in the photos above? Have you had any customers report similar damage to the plastic dust shield?

Thanks,
John

Diameter is very similar though I would have to measure to be sure. I've been running the Sports since they first became available in the US and while my plastic shields have some marks... its nothing like the steel shield was getting. I'll try and remember to snap some pics.
