Opinions between Espar and Webasto?

Anyone have a preference for hydronic heaters?

Trying to decide between the two brands in the 5kw size.

We are on our second Webasto in our truck. The first one lasted 23 years. The second is 7 years old and works without issue.
I would add the Planar heater to your list.

I have a 9 year old Webasto. works fine. deep cleaned the burner assembly one time. I have used it from 4K to 10K ASL with no issues.

I like Webasto because the coolant pump is integrated into the burner instead of a separate assembly.

Have rebuilt and used both. They're both used on heavy duty equipment in the north. Both for heating cabs and as cold start helpers. Honestly, there is no real difference in performance or longevity. Both work great and will last for years if properly maintained. I'd grab which ever one is on sale for cheaper.
