Anyone had and Opinion on the Michelin LTX A/T 2? I'm looking for New tires for the Disco. I drive it daily so I'm looking for something a bit more road friendly than my old BFG Ats...

I have AT2s on my LR3 and they are a good street tire with decent offroad capabilities. They tackled Moab with no issues. I went with them because I got over 80k miles out of a set on my 4runner. Already put over 35k miles on these on the LR3 with plenty left. They are wearing a bit more than on the 4runner but the lr3 weighs another 1 to 2k more and still expect 60 to 80k out of them. Haven't had a flat on either truck. They cost a bit more but I feel you get your money's worth. They are an excellent highway/rain/snow tire. A true all terrain.

When I bought them, the new BFG ATs weren't out yet and I needed a set of tires quickly.

The duratracs wear out in less than 30k. I would be on my second set already.

The RRS has the new BFG ATS and my LR3 has the Michelins.

Got LTX's on the new-to-me 4 runner. Seem like decent street tire, however they are lacking in the mud. Yesterday I spun the tires a bunch of places (then again, I'm used to BFG KM2s). On the flipside, they have a crap ton of miles on them, are all worn in weird different directions, and are still quiet. I'm big on quiet tires.

Overall, if you are 99% on the street and don't venture into the sloppy red clay like what we have here in the Southeast, they should be good.

I have a set on a RR LWB and they are a great road tire. I wouldn't even try wheeling with them here in the East but that's not what I use this particular truck for.
