I got some good info on my other thread about planning for bigger tires.
I am ordering a 2023 F-350 LB for a 2000# Scout Kenai.
I plan on upgrading suspension and was advised passingly against ordering FX4 if that is the case.
FX4 is $500
My concern is I will lose hill descent and skid plates without the fx4. Now- i know i can add skid plates later and possibly hill descent- but seems like alot of extra work to save $500 on a $80k truck.
Is there a downside to just getting the fx4? Am I going to lose much payload?
